The Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend has many resources available to parishes that provide all the training needed for anyone working with children & teenagers (under the age of 18).

Criminal Background checks

In the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, all diocesan priests, deacons, candidates, all employees, & all volunteers working children will undergo a criminal background evaluation according to diocesan policy & procedure.

Safe Environment Training

The Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend partners with Catholic Mutual Group to offer an online safe environment curriculum for all adults who are required to complete it. Adults may complete the training in English, Spanish or American Sign Language.
